Wild Thyme: Tasty Lebanese Food
It’s been literally years since I first visited Wild Thyme. I recall it was just after they opened and it was a small little hole-in-the-wall joint which served up some classic Lebanese cuisine. Since that time, they’ve expanded and now have a more spacious dining area next door. They don’t have air conditioning but they do open the large windows in the summer.

Nuba (Kits): Don’t Waste My Time
As I’ve mentioned on my post for Nuba Gastown, each Nuba location is run by an independent management team. That means that, while the menu may appear similar, the experience at each location will differ. For example, while the Mount Pleasant location is bright and airy and the Gastown location is dark and a bit seedy, the Kits location is actually decidedly different.

Nuba (Gastown): Underground Lebanese
I’ve been to Nuba in Mount Pleasant before and fondly recall the food that I had for lunch. There are actually 4 Nuba locations in Vancouver… and while the menus are generally the same, they are each run by independent management teams. This means there’s actually quite a bit of differences in terms of the experience you receive at each.

Wild Thyme Lebanese Food – Hidden Gem in New West
I was driving down 12th Street in New Westminster in mid-July when I noticed that a new restaurant had taken up the old Big Star Sandwich location. On my first visit, I was so impressed with the quality of the food and the friendliness of the owner that I made sure to come back for a revisit (or three).

Nuba Cafe (Mount Pleasant) – Lamb Kibbeh
With all of the bakery shops that I was visiting in early December, I felt like I needed to eat something a bit more healthy. Nuba seemed like the perfect choice so I headed down to visit the Mount Pleasant location, just a half block west of Main St.
