Knight & Day (Lougheed) – How is this place so busy?
Ah, Knight & Day… the oft disparaged, late-night eats located at the corner of Boundary Road and Lougheed Hwy. I haven’t been here for over 20 years and, from what I recall, the food wasn’t that great.

Oswego Grill (Oswego Lake) – Chicken Marsala and Tenderloin Tips
The Oswego Lake area is located just south of Portland and home to Oswego Grill since 2009. This mid-priced restaurant serves up pretty good food in a mid-to-upper scale environment. Despite the dark wood tables and ambiance, you won’t feel out of place coming here in your jeans and t-shirt.

Well, it looks like it’s that time of year again… That time when restaurants get unusually busy with diners looking to get a good deal on their favourite restaurant or to try out that chic spot that they’ve been dying to visit. This year, there seems to be more special events than ever but the big draw is always the $18, $28, and $38 tasting menus.
Tivoli’s (Burnaby) – Trio of Eggs Benedict
There’s been many times when I would read a menu description and be totally surprised by what turns up on the table… sometimes for the good, sometimes for the worse. Read the rest of this entry
Roasty Jack (Brentwood Mall)
The problem with Thanksgiving Day is that it’s so close to Christmas that it seems like you’re constantly having turkey or turkey leftovers for 3-4 months… and then it seems like ages until you have a turkey dinner again. Read the rest of this entry
