Joe Fortes is practically an institution in Vancouver… and what’s not to love about this downtown eatery? Well, I suppose the one thing that I dislike is how busy they are. That’s probably one of the reasons why we haven’t returned for many years.

Uli’s Restaurant: Oysters, Mussels and Clams

It’s been years since I’ve been to White Rock and the only thing that I could remember was the big hills leading down to the beach and the fact that the actual “rock” which the city gets their name from is painted white.

Shady Island Seafood Bar and Grill

Shady Island Seafood touts their fish and chips as “The Best on the Boardwalk”.  That sounds like fighting words if you ask me.  Steveston has no shortage of places to find great fish and chips so what do you have to do to be the “best on the boardwalk”?
