With the weather finally starting to look a bit better towards mid-May, I stopped by Anny’s Dairy Bar for lunch and to try their famous Maple Twist Cone.

It’s August which means it’s time for the PNE. With the free admission day set for tomorrow (free gate admission on Tuesday, August 19th from 11am to 1pm), I figured this post would be timely. 

The Spud Shack Fry Co. – Belgian Frites at the New West Skytrain Station

The Spud Shack Fry Co. is located in the new development that has built up around the New West Skytrain station.  While it’s not within the fare paid zone, it’s close enough to the restaurant that you can see the Skytrain departing the station.

Dublin Castle Neighbourhood Grill – Pot Pies and Poutine

If you’re looking for a quaint little pub that serves up some good eats, you only have to drop by the old BC Penitentiary Guard House located in New West.  As I mentioned on my last visit to Dublin Castle, it’s a little difficult finding this place if you’ve never been here before but it’s worth the trip.
