Top Pot Doughnuts (Queen Anne): Hand-Forged Doughnuts

I love the story about how the name “Top Pot” Doughnuts came about. It seems that, prior to opening Top Pot, the co-founders had noticed a dilapidated neon sign above a boarded-up Chinese restaurant called “TOPSPOT”. They purchased it and left it in their backyard for four years before they decided to have it restored. Once they did, however, the middle “S” fell off, leaving the words “TOP POT” instead.

Since their first ice creamery shop opened in 2008 by founder Molly Moon Neitzel, they have since expanded to 8 shops currently and it was at their Queen Anne location that we found ourselves during our Seattle road trip.
