Mali Thai Restaurant: Comforting Thai Food
I have a love for Thai food. I think it’s partly the comfort of eating yummy curries with mountains of carbs. Not to mention the spicy heat and the combination of hot and sour flavours that you don’t always get in other cuisine.

Siam Le Bien is a relatively new Thai restaurant that opened up a few months ago in Burnaby Heights. Always on the hunt for new Thai restaurants, we stopped by for some take-out in January (they do have dine-in service available).

Koh Thai: Solid Sapperton Thai
On the corner of Columbia and Braid in New Westminster, an unassuming restaurant serves up Thai dishes to the locals in the Sapperton neighbourhood. Formerly known as Go Thai, the restaurant has changed owners as well as names (now known as the phonetically similar Koh Thai).

Thai House (Richmond) – Long Island Duck in Red Curry
We go to a lot of Thai restaurants but Thai House has always been one of our favourite chains. Unfortunately, they closed the one at Station Square when they started the big reconstruction work. Sawasdee Thai – Delicious Curries
Sawasdee Thai is a popular family-run restaurant that’s been serving up Thai fare on Main Street since 1986. This restaurant has been on my list of places to try for a long time but they don’t open for lunch on the weekend so I had to wait until this past May when I had a chance to try out one of their lunch specials.
