Ebisu Richmond: Lunch Boats and Specials
Ebisu Richmond is a chain restaurant located in the busy Richport Town Centre mini mall. I’m not sure what it is about this place but the parking lot is always super busy. We dropped by for lunch one weekend in May and were lucky enough to find some parking.

Chosun Korean BBQ: Japanese and Korean Set Meals
Chosun is a restaurant that seems to have been around for years. Located in Vancouver along the busy Kingsway corridor, one of the things that we enjoy about this restaurant is that they offer both Korean and Japanese dishes.

Sushi Gen Restaurant: Hidden Sushi Place in Burnaby
Sushi Gen is a bit of a hidden sushi restaurant as it’s tucked in a mini mall behind Lougheed Town Centre, right next to the Red Robin. This is actually the same mini mall that Green Leaf Cafe recently opened up in (which is how I found Sushi Gen).

Toku Japanese Restaurant: Unagi Don and Tempura
Toku Japanese Restaurant is located in Lansdowne Centre, directly across from Earls (on the north side of the mall). It’s a surprisingly large restaurant with high ceilings and call buttons located on the tables (similar to what you’d find at many Korean restaurants). Being the polite and reserved Canadian people that we are, we didn’t even try to use the call buttons during our meal but we didn’t have to as service was pretty good and it was easy to get the attention of the servers.

Green Leaf Cafe: Welcome Addition to Burnaby
If you’re a fan of aburi oshi sushi (flame-seared and box-pressed) in Vancouver, you’ve probably heard of Green Leaf Sushi, a popular location in the trendy Kitsilano area. Queen’s Cafe: Asian Fusion Eats
I’ve often said that the corner of Kingsway and Salibury in Burnaby is like the Bermuda Triangle for restaurants. I’ve lost count of how many restaurants that have come and gone in this spot. Well, a new restaurant showed up here quite some time ago but I’ve kind of avoided it… wondering if it would close like all of the others before it.

Marusho Suisan (Kuromon Ichiba Market): Osaka 2017
Kuromon Ichiba Market is a popular covered market in Osaka (along the same lines as Tsukiji Fish Market in Tokyo). For my money, I much preferred Kuromon over Tsukiji but let’s focus on Marusho Suisan for the moment. Now, you’re not going to see an English name for this shop.

Pepper Lunch (Cambie): DIY Teppanyaki
A couple of years ago, the first Pepper Lunch location in the Lower Mainland opened up in Richmond. This chain of DIY Teppanyaki originates in Asia where they’ve got hundreds of outlets. Recently, they opened up a shop in Vancouver along the busy Cambie Street corridor.

Ikoi Sushi: Assorted Nigiri
Okay, I’ve been to Ikoi Sushi, located in the Sapperton area of New Westminster, many times in the past so I’ll keep this post relatively light. If you want to read more about Ikoi, take a look at our previous post.
