Patisserie Lebeau: Sweet and Savory Belgian Treats
The first time that we found Patisserie Lebeau was all the way back in 2011 (back when we first started this food blog). We actually came across this place by accident back then – but I still remember how impressed we were with the waffles here (this was the place that turned me onto liege waffles and their little pearls of sugar).

Le Petit Belge: Amazing Salmon Benny on Waffles
I don’t make it downtown very often so, when I had the chance in mid-February, I popped by Le Petit Belge for an early morning breakfast. True to their name, this location is kind of small and I was glad that I went early as it quickly filled up in the morning. As you enter, you’ll come to the counter where you place and pay for your order before sitting down.

Scandilicious – Kumle and Waffles
When I first heard the name “Scandilicious”, thoughts of food porn immediately came to mind. After all, why else would they put the word “scandal” in their name? Well, as it turns out, the “scandi” part of their name derives from “Scandinavian” food.

Miura Waffle Milk Bar
I’ve heard many good things of Miura Waffle Milk Bar. But because it used to be located downtown, I never had the chance to try them out. So when I heard that they moved to Main Street, I decided to try them out the next time I had a waffle-itch.

What exactly is a “banella” you may ask? Part banana, part Nutella and all waffle! Read the rest of this entry
L’Epicerie Rotisserie & Gourmet Shop
Inside the Granville Island Public Market is a shop that serves roast meats, sandwiches, and carries specialty infused olive oils and vinegars on tap. I’ve admired some of their hot savory foods before but have never tried them out. Since we had just had a seafood fest at the Sandbar, I just grabbed some sweets to bring home. Patisserie Lebeau – Waffles… breakfast of champions
Recently, we decided to inaugurate some friends in the wonderful world of waffles. What better place than Patisserie Lebeau? Being the weekend, we made sure we went early and managed to find a table before the lineups started queuing out the door.
They really should consider more seating inside – or at least, consider getting some patio seating outside to accomodate all of the customers. Read the rest of this entry
