Garrison Bistro – Braised Beef Poutine

Garrison Bistro is located in the appropriately named Garrison Village shopping area in Chilliwack.

Garrison Village has been planned as a pedestrian friendly and ‘village’ oriented shopping centre – similar to The Village at Park Royal in West Vancouver.

I enjoyed the Braised Beef Poutine ($12) while dining on the patio next to the water fountain. The house-cut Kennebec potato fries were covered with braised beef and cheddar cheese. The beef was indeed tender but I would have preferred cheese curds instead of the cheddar cheese sauce. Otherwise, the fries were nice and crispy and the beef gravy was nice and rich.
